Julia Mahamid
Julia Mahamid develops methods for in-cell structural biology at near-atomic resolution by cryo-electron tomography and combines them with quantitative light microscopy and multi-omics approaches to derive structure-function relations. Her work revealed that LD core neutral lipids undergo structural phase transitions as a function of the cellular metabolic state.
